Introduction

Dr Rajasekhar Perumalla is currently associated as Group Director & Senior Consultant HPB Surgeon at Kauvery Hospital, Chennai. Dr Rajasekhar completed his MBBS from Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam and MS from PGIMER, Chandigarh. Following which he did his DNB from National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. He pursued his fellowship in General Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, Fellowship in Living Donor Liver Transplantation from Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan, Fellow in HPB & Transplant surgery from Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital Australia. He has also been associated with teaching in various medical colleges. His area of Interest includes:

1. HPB Surgery – Liver & pancreatic resections, Biliary Tract Surgery & Shunt surgery
2. Abdominal Organ Transplantation- Liver, kidney & Pancreas
3. Vascular / Peritoneal access procedures for End stage renal failure patients
